International Geant4 Tutorial in Seoul 2015

The Geant4 developer team (Makoto Asai, Vladimir Ivantchenko and Sebastien Incerti) will visit NCC on October 30-November 1 for a tutorial focused on Geant4 version 10.0 for those who are already familiarized with previous Geant4 versions.

During this tutorial, we intend to have bidirectional information exchanges between Geant4 Collaboration and Korean users.

NOTE:the download link for the VMware virtual machine image for the hands-on exercise on October 31st is https://hep.kisti.re.kr/SL6.6_Geant4.10.2.b01.7z or you can find it at https://hep.kisti.re.kr webpage. The name of link is “Download VMware image for International Geant4 Tutorial in Seoul 2015”. To launch this image, you need VMware player (free) with version 6.0 or higher. One of the biggest highlights of Geant4 version 10.0 is its multithreading capability. But, as you might have noticed, Geant4 version 10.0 does *NOT* support multithreading on Windows. Thus, for the tutorial hands-on, we need tutorial participants to bring their laptops running either Linux or Mac.



If one needs to use a Windows or Mac laptop, one has to install VMware virtual machine described above. *
